A gallery as well as a bookshop

Art & crafts by local hands

The walls are hung with original work by artists from Sneem and the surrounding area, and the big table carries woodwork, knitwear and more — nearly all of it made within a few miles of the door.

Watercolours of Kerry & beyond

Landscapes of Kenmare Bay, Derrynane and the surrounding countryside — watercolours, pastels and prints, all original and all for sale. Look out for the bronze relief of the Great Irish Writers keeping an eye on proceedings.

On the table

Made in Sneem

Hand-turned bowls and woodwork from the Sneem Men's Shed, scarves and knitwear (some by Úna herself), crochet by local makers, candles of every description — and wool, if you'd rather knit your own.

Gifts with a story

Take a piece of Sneem home

Every craft in the shop comes with a maker and a story — Úna will happily tell you both. It makes for gifts that mean something: a bowl turned in the village Men's Shed, a scarf knitted by the bookseller who sold you your holiday reading.
